Hawaiian Music ...by the Mary Kaaihue Trio - Mary Kaaihue Trio [Mary Kaye Trio] [2/8/47] This was a typical 78-rpm album, featuring three 78-rpm singles in brown paper sleeves bound into the hard cover record album. In fact, these 78 albums were the reason that we currently speak of vinyl LPs or CDs as "albums," even though they no longer bear any physical resemblance to the old photographic albums. The Mary Kaaihue Trio later shortened their name to the Mary Kaye Trio, and were popular during the 1950s and early 1960s, with some late 1950s hits on Warner Bros. Apollo 100 Series (10-inch LPs):

The label on the Apollo 10 inch series is red/maroon with gold printing. "APOLLO presents" at the top in gold lettering, with a Greek head above the Apollo lettering. Original 1951 prices for these albums was $2.85 each. The first few albums appeared as new selections in the June, 1951 issue of the Schwann Long Playing Record Catalog.
