King Discography, Part 7
Last update: January 10, 1998

By the late 1960s, James Brown's productions began to appear with a special orange and black label with his picture. Regular stereo issues not produced by Brown had the usual blue label. Reissues of earlier albums sometimes had a brown label with the same graphics as the blue.

Numbering prefix changes about here from nothing to the Starday KLP/KSD- prefix. Some albums use the frefix "5" for a single LP and "7" for a double LP, as in "KSD-5-1047." For convenience, these pricing codes are ignored in this discography. For those albums where we know a stereo version exists, we have used the stereo prefix. For albums we believe to have been issued in mono only, we have used "KLP-". Where we are not sure a stereo version was issued, we have used the prefix "K-".
