Josie got into the album business rather late, as most of the labels singles artists issued albums on
Jubilee (e.g., the Cadillacs' material). The first Josie label was cream colored with blue printing,
"josie" at the top of the label in a blue oval. The second Josie label was light brown with black
printing, "josie" at the top of the label in a black oval sitting on a field of multi-colored vertical
stripes from the top of the label to a white horizontal line through the center hole. The third Josie
label was light brown with black printing, "JOSIE" spelled vertically to the left of the center hole in
colors.
Much of the Josie material of interest to collectors has been reissued on CD. A selected list of related
