Kapp issued a number of special samplers, salesman's demonstration samplers, disc jockey promos, and stereo samplers over the years. These are summarized in this page.

In late 1964, they also issued seven 3-LP box sets to be used as gift sets, which are also listed below.

The first sampler, called Jazz Festival, was a commercially available album at a special price to allow potential customers to sample the various jazz albums available in 1956. Jazz Festival used the regular maroon and silver label (far left). Later, the KS series was used for salesman's demos to be used in stores to demonstrate record players and incidentally, sell Kapp albums. These used the early promotional red and white labels (near left).
Disc jockey promotional albums (all mono) started with KDJS-1, which was a sampler from the "Great Songs of the Fabulous Century" series within Kapp's main KL-1000 series. This first promo used a blue label with the silver band (far left). The second deejay promo sampler, KDJS-2, used the regular maroon and silver label (near left).
By the time Kapp reached KDJS-4 in late 1959, the regular labels had changed design to the "starburst" design (far left). Stereo sampler albums, sold commercially at a special reduced price, used the regular maroon and silver stereo label (near left).

Kapp/Columbia Record Club Special Issues:

Note: Ironically, in the August 10, 1959 issue of Billboard magazine (p48), Kapp boasts that "Kapp belongs to no record clubs. On the contrary... we have turned down offers of over hundreds of thousands of dollars by top record clubs." Well, they couldn't stay away forever, apparently. By 1962, their records were fully a part of the Columbia Record Club at least, and CRC eventually put out some special issues.

They came in a regular Kapp paper sleeve with a small photo of the album the songs came from. These were songs not generally on regular commercial 45 issues, as Kapp was trying for getting more songs off their albums heard. This list is incomplete and appears here as an example.
